Our Packaging Evolves

Packaging is essential and fulfills many functions: it protects products, ensures the safety and stability of loads during transport, and serves as a marketing tool to communicate product benefits and key information.

However, waste generated by packaging, especially non-recyclable plastics, is one of the main sources of pollution.

What are our commitments?

To address this challenge, we have the ambition to use 100% recyclable packaging with at least 30% recycled or bio-based content by 2030. As of today, around 75% of our total packaging are fully recyclable.

How do we act?

To achieve our objectives, we follow a three-step strategy to create a multi-impact virtuous circle for our packaging, from sourcing to recycling:

1. Avoid/Reduce: Our first priority is to avoid packaging wherever possible because “the best packaging is no packaging.” When we cannot avoid the use of packaging, we undertake to reduce as much as possible the quantity of packaging required.

2. Reuse: By reusing our packaging, we can benefit from its extended useful life while reducing our environmental footprint.

3. Recycle: Third, recyclable packaging is a truly circular model, which makes it another key consideration for our strategy. At the end of its useful life, materials can be recycled and used to produce new packaging reducing the waste of resources during production.
