Glass Mat

Our Glass Mat is found in many industrial applications such as roofing, insulation or flooring. We will help you designing differentiated solutions with improved benefits in various domains beyond mechanical properties.

Details

Glass mats are made through randomly distributed glass fibers onto a conveyor belt, and bonded together with a binding agent. ADFORS is able to produce glass mats through two different manufacturing processes: wet-laid and dry-laid.

In the first one, the fibers are dispersed into an aqueous solution, then deposited onto a conveyor screen before binder application. In the second one, fibers are chopped and blown onto the conveyor screen before the binder application.

Each process has its owns signature, and depending and your application needs, our team will direct you to the most appropriate one. Also, our know-how in chemistry helps our customers reducing their environmental impact by providing formaldehyde-free binders including bio-sourced ones.

The glass mat technology is found in many industrial applications such as roofing, insulation, flooring, wall covering, ceilings, and others. Our solutions will help you designing differentiated solutions with improved benefits in various domains beyond mechanical properties.
