Leading the Way on Climate: Explore the Saint-Gobain Climate Notebook

As a global leader in light and sustainable construction, Saint-Gobain is at the forefront of the fight against climate change. The group recently released the Climate Notebook, a document aimed at sharing its vision, strategy, and actions regarding climate. In this context, Saint-Gobain has set clear objectives to guide its actions and maximize its environmental impact:

• Maximize our positive impact with sustainable building solutions,
• Minimize our carbon footprint through innovation and a shift to carbon-free energy,
• Engage with our partners and clients to build lasting relationships and help fight climate change.

At ADFORS, we actively contribute to these global objectives by implementing impactful actions:

• We develop a range of solutions that boost sustainability and help our customers reduce their own carbon footprint,
• We continuously work on process and material efficiency improvements in plants, as well as adopting low-carbon electricity, to reduce our scope 1 & 2 emissions,
• We are building fruitful interactions with our suppliers throughout our value chain to limit emissions linked to our purchased raw materials and logistics chains to reduce our scope 3 emissions.

Guided by Saint-Gobain’s strategy, we are capable to identify high-impact levers for change and create actionable roadmaps. And by working closely with our teams and partners, we ensure that our initiatives are both impactful and scalable.

Our efforts have contributed to the Group achieving a -34% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2024 compared to 2017—an important milestone on our journey to carbon neutrality by 2050, in alignment with the Paris Agreement.
