From weaving to palletizing, discover each step of the manufacturing process of our Novelio® wallcoverings.
Step 1: Weaving
Two distinct sets of yarns are interlaced to form a fiberglass fabric on the weaving machine. The vertical warp yarns are under tension and held stationary on a loom (frame), while the horizontal weft is drawn through (inserted over and under) the warp thread.
Step 2: Coating
Fabric is coated to add technical properties, such as product stability, paint compatibility, resistance to mold, formaldehyde absorption, resistance to fire, etc. Fabric can also be coated with paint or glue.
Step 3: Quality check
An automated system checks the fabric, while the operator monitors the process.
Step 4: Formatting and packaging
Rolls are cut to the proper length and protected by packaging.
Step 5: Palletization and shipment
Boxes are placed on pallets and are ready for dispatch.
