Does your self-adhesive drywall joint tape have a CE mark?
Yes, our trademarked FibaTape® is the only fiberglass drywall joint tape for plasterboards which is CE marked. This is based on European Technical Approval ETA-09/0075.
What type of construction is the tape?
At ADFORS we have various weaving technologies at our disposal, but our FibaTape® self-adhesive drywall jointing tape is made from warp knitted construction, where the fiber glass yarn is interlooped along the length of the fabric.
What is difference between ADFORS FibaTape® and competitive cheaper tapes?
Our FibaTape® provides a longer lasting finish, with a faster and easier application in comparison to cheaper tapes. It is also produced in the EU and is the only CE marked fiberglass drywall joint tape for plasterboards.
I have a wandering ‘settling’ crack above my door. Do you have a product to cover/reinforce this kind of issue?
Yes. We would suggest you use our self-adhesive 25m × 150mm Crackstop product to help with this problem. As cracks do not usually appear in straight line, it is often necessary to use a wider tape to provide sufficient coverage and reinforcement over either side of the crack.
Can self-adhesive drywall tape be used for reinforcing internal angles?
For reinforcing internal angle joints, we would recommend using our 100mm width tape rather than our standard 48mm width tape. The 100m tape provides a wider surface area to give better contact with the wall, which is necessary for this particular application.
Does your drywall joint tape (e.g. Mold-X tape) contain any biocides and, if so, what documentation do you have to share on this?
The coating used on our Mold X tape contains an antimicrobial agent, but we are unable to disclose any further information on this as it is proprietary and confidential. Please refer to our ‘Safe Use Instruction Sheet’ for further information on safe handling.

Does the box contain any recyclable content?
Yes, boxes and cores are fully recyclable, and the printing is lead-free.
Does your tape or the plastic wrapping contain any recyclable content?
No, the wrapping does not contain any recyclable content.
