ADFORS supports roofing membranes manufacturers with a complete range of reinforcement solutions dedicated to bitumen and synthetic membranes. Wether our customers are looking for a glass reinforcement or a polyester one, our team is available to define the solution that best fits their needs.

Bitumen membranes

Bitumen waterproofing membranes are mainly used in low slope roofs for commercial and industrial buildings. We offer different reinforcements depending on the final application. Bitumen membranes can experience extreme and harsh conditions and can be under thermal stress. This is the reason why that our solutions include glass mat and polyester solutions that will offer strength, dimensional stability, puncture resistance and durability that are critical for roofing applications.

Synthetic membranes

Synthetic membranes are made of a polymeric matrix (such as TPO, PVC, EPDM) and can be reinforced with our Glass Mats, TwinFab® complexes or Laid Scrims. Our products are tightly controlled in thickness, porosity and aspect for these more demanding customer processes and applications.

Shingles

Very popular in US, we may found some of those solutions into the European market. Roofing shingles are produced at high speed and carriers need to withstand extreme tension. They therefore need to be treated differently to other bituminous waterproofing products in order to ensure the highest possible tear strength. In order to provide you with a fully customisable solution, Saint-Gobain ADFORS used its experience in technical fabrics to create a comprehensive range of carriers adapted to different viscosities and line speeds with customised MD/CD ratios and various input fibres.

Separation layers

Separation layer unrolled on the roof between foam insulation and waterproofing membranes. ADFORS can provide solutions that are heavier and in shorter rolls.
