Product Overview
ADFORS GlasGrid® GG is a high-tensile fiberglass geogrid with an especially high mesh stiffness due to the consistent impregnation of each glass filament with our patented polymer coating in order to protect fiberglass yarns and to reach an effective bonding between asphalt layers. A unique feature is the pressure sensitive adhesive backing of the grid, which ensures a quick and efficient installation and provides an excellent bond with the surface. ADFORS GlasGrid GG can be installed directly on an old asphalt surface or on a levelling course. For the application on a concrete pavement, the installation of an levelling course is recommended.
ADFORS GlasGrid GG reinforcement extends pavement life up to 300% and provides 50% reduction in future investment costs.

What are the advantages of glass fibers geogrids?
Based on strength/strain ratio, the glass fiber geogrids provide very high ability to resist crack propagation in comparison with geogrids made from different row materials. Glass fiber grids improve the life of an asphalt pavement by 200–300% through reflective crack retardation, limit rutting, bring structural benefit and allow final reuse of interlayer due to recycling of geogrid.
Is GlasGrid millable and recyclable?
Yes, laboratory tests and experience from construction sites confirm that the ADFORS GlasGrid does not show any negative effects during milling and does not affect the depth of milling. The ADFORG GlasGrid is unlimitedly recyclable and the partial reuse of milled asphalt granulate (including glass fibers) in a new asphalt mixture improves the fatigue behaviour of the recycled asphalt.
Can we use a GlasGrid for airport repairs?
Yes, ADFORS GlasGrid is suitable for airport repairs. It has already been successfully applied at more than 200 airports around the world.
